Springdell Orchard & Fruit Wine

Country Wines are fermented alcoholic beverages made from a variety of ingredients other than grapes. Country wines are always called “something” wines ( e.g. plum wines), since the word wine alone is often legally defined as a beverage made only from grapes. Country wine can be made from any fruit or, from any plant sources. The making of fruit wine is an old tradition which dates back to early civilization.

The first Country Wines established in the Somerset Valley Wine Region. Situated in the picturesque Mt. Kilcoy valley, 1 hour north of Brisbsane and 1 hour from the Sunshine Coast.

At this small boutique style family winery we grow, procress, bottle and pack all of these non- traditional country wines. Our wines are the real thing! No Preservatuves, made from 100% fruit. An established stonefruit orchard of 20 years, we began in 2004 making the first of our wines from the excess fruit from our own orchards. The demand  has now led us to source  other fruits from local farms close by.

Our winery is not available to the public. Group bookings can be arranged by appointment only, however our Satellite Cellar Door at Chantilly Blue in Kilcoy is open 7 days from 9.30am to 4.30pm (excluding public holidays), offering coffee, light lunch and gift ware. Here you will find our range of fruit wines, fortifies wines and liqueurs. Availabilty of some fruit wines will depend on season and demand. Plum, Peach, Strawberry, Pineapple, Passionfruit, Mango and Lychee are just a few you will find at our Satellite Cellar Dooor.

We invite you to view our Country Wines from locally grown fruits. These wines will add a new dimension to your formal and informal dining and offer a great way to relax and socialize. Ideal for gift giving or as souvenirs.
